Bio
Alec Kowalewski, Ph.D., is a Landscape Specialist & Professor in the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University. He earned his bachelor’s in landscape design (honors), and both his masters and his Ph.D. in crop and soil sciences at Michigan State University. Before joining the faculty at OSU, he was an assistant professor at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and worked at the University of Georgia Coastal Plains Experiment Stations as a research scientist. Kowalewski’s overall extension and research goal is improving the environmental and economic sustainability of landscape management. He has been a GCSAA member since 2009 and has taught webinars as well as being a conference speaker.
